Healthy, Wealthy, and Wise

It is fast approaching. Dad and I are enrolled in a 5K this coming Saturday, the 18th. We are excited to be able to do this and are hoping that you are all going to be able to support us in this effort to get healthy. I laugh at myself because 2 years ago I would have laughed you out of the room at the mere suggestion that I do a 5K. Now, I am really excited to be able to do this, especially with my Sugar Bear by my side. The race begins at 8:00 in the morning at Liberty Park and goes til you are done and ends at the Gateway by the fountain. This race is in conjunction with a 26 mile marathon, which we are NOT participating in. Yeeks, imagine doing 26 miles!! That is more than I can even imagine doing. Then, I will be doing another one in May (this is news to Dad, Hee Hee) and then in July. Autumn said that she would like to join us on the one in July. Anyone else interested? I would love to have all of my children by my side when we do the one on July 24th. It is my hope that this will be the year that my children all try to get healthy, realize how wealthy they really are, and be wise in their choices and their families.
Happy Easter Everyone! Let us take time this day to show our gratitude to our Heavenly Father for the willingness of his Son to make the ultimate sacrifice for us. I am grateful for each and every one of you and hope that your day is peaceful, meaningful, and safe. Dad and I love each of our children (that includes spouses) and our grandchildren. We are looking forward to seeing you today. Again, we will miss Camie, Glenn, Tridon, Dallas, Case, and Avery. I know our home is small, but it is filled to capacity with love and pride for each of you.

Yesterday we received a last minute invitation to Lindsay's Bridal Shower. Autumn was unable to attend because she had to work. Camie was unable to attend because she lives in Nampa. So, Nicole, Cody with baby Trace and I went and represented the Wilson clan. Holy Cow, what a mansion it was held in. I am glad I don't have to worry about the cleaning (of course they probably have a maid service) or the payments. You could fit my tiny house in the kitchen and great room. It was fun to see Jana, Lindsay and Karen again. Lindsay looks very happy. We couldn't stay long, but it was great to see them. We spent a little time talking to Jana. She sure looks great. I didn't even recognize her at first because of her really cute new hair do. Steve sure has a beautiful wife. Anyway, thanks for going with me Nicole and Cody (and my little man Trace). I loved spending some time with you and being a bit goofy.

Upcoming Easter Celebration

Garth and I are looking forward to getting together on Easter Sunday as a family. We are excited that most of you will be here for dinner on Sunday. Unfortunately, Camie and Glenn and their children will not be here and we are going to miss them terribly. I challenge each of you to try to remember and teach your children what Easter is all about, not just Easter eggs, Rabbits, etc. We love you all and hope you all stay healthy and strong.
